Among its many beauties is a tuneful and emotionally resonant slow movement, a kaleidoscopically faceted theme and variations. The Verdi quartet closed the evening in incisive and authoritative performances.

Gli applausi prolungatissimi hanno meritato tre bis.
  • SYDSVENSKAN MALMOE - Svezia (P.Sjoberg) - the elegant, highly skilled musicality of this quartet was a moving experience: it can be said that their interpretation was of the highest level.
  • CITIZEN NEWS - USA (W.Bloch) - Beethoven op.132... the grandly conceived interpretation of the slow movement, "Holy song of thanks to the Godhead", the players conveyed the mistery and other-worldliness of the score. The victorious climax of the finale was greeted with prolonged, enthusiastic applause.
